HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ENGINE FOR YOUR BOAT
Power: A general guideline is 1 kg of thrust for every 45 kg of total weight (boat, fuel, occupants, equipment, etc.). If you often fish in strong current or windy conditions, add 4.5 kg of thrust.
Mast length: Measure from the top of the bow, where the engine is mounted, to the waterline. Then add 50 cm to this measurement. The ideal mast length should be at least equal to the sum of the two measurements.
